My dear
teresa_c has just turned me on to a new community, mini_nanowrimo. For those of us who just aren't geared up for that monster project, this focuses on posting a minimum of 100 words a day in November---every day. That's it. Drabble. More if you're up for it, het, slash, gen---anything goes.
Personally, I've come to the realization that doing the big NaNo isn't going to happen for me this year. What with starting a new job and trying to get used to a major commute and readjust to a full-time job instead of full-time sloth---I just don't have the energy. I have the ideas, but not the mindset. But a hundred words? Shoot, I can do that on my lunch hour.
So, if you're looking wistfully at the big one and thinking, "But I really can't right now", maybe this is something you CAN do.
See you there.
