Chocolate addiction

A couple of weeks ago, I accidentally grabbed a Hershey's Special Dark Espresso bar instead of a basic Special Dark. You can ask anyone who knows me, I don't DO coffee. Never have. Don't even like the smell of it, usually. Except they seem to have made these Espresso bars with some kind of chocolate crack, bcuz I'm hooked on them, to the point that when I stop in at S'lven for gas or a drink or whatever, I grab a bar or two or three for the road. 

This afternoon on my break, I ran across the parking lot to Walgreens for batteries---the one in my MP3 player went DOA on me---and found they had Espresso Kisses. Snagged two bags and did a victory dance. Yum!

They're only available for a short period of time, but coffee Kit-Kats are similarly addicting, as in "ought to be a Schedule 2 drug." Frankly, they're the food of Satan, because I can inhale three of them in a day. Which, for someone who tends to pack on pounds and is barely taller than a fire hydrant, is a very, very bad thing.

I love mocha anything. Coffee & chocolate are divine together. (Whoever thought up Coke Blak, though, should be shot. It tastes like it would make a fine drain cleaner.)

That's usually the way I feel about coffee in general. For years, my standard response to being offered the stuff has been, "If I wanted to drink something brown, boiled and nasty, I'd tap my crankcase."
