vanillafluffyHad a couple hours of pure bliss this afternoon...was surfing some of the higher channels that my cable company provides (but you have to go hunting for them). Imagine my joy to find an episode of Burning Zone, albeit already in progress**. JDM young, clean-cut/shaven, jeans, tee shirt (and some plaid flannel, GOD, that makes me happy!).... Dr Eddie Marcase getting whupped on by some schmuck with a cane---gets away, limping---oh, those, long, lean legs!---just avoiding getting run over by an old truck with duh-duh-duh: red headlights. (Cue ominous music and cut to commercials).
As if 30 minutes of Jeff's eyelashes wasn't enough of a treat, I noticed that BBC America was showing MI-5 following that, and lo and behold---it was The Rosebed Memoirs, so I got to squee over Jools after squeeing over Marcase. Life is good!

pwcorgigirl, I heartily concur about the "most deliberate acting" comment. Not that that's a bad thing....
As if 30 minutes of Jeff's eyelashes wasn't enough of a treat, I noticed that BBC America was showing MI-5 following that, and lo and behold---it was The Rosebed Memoirs, so I got to squee over Jools after squeeing over Marcase. Life is good!

Date: 2007-07-23 01:03 am (UTC)I noticed there's a part where JDM, in running to the fallen priest, kicks the guy's foot hard and almost trips. This did not look staged. It had to have ouched a bit to be kicked like that -- JDM is a big guy and had on hiking boots -- but the actor playing the priest never broke character.
Gawd, but I love "The Rosebed Memoirs." Jools in his tux yelling at Harry, Jools TUMMY! when he reveals the super-sekrit hiding place of the memoirs, and the scene at the end where Harry challenges Jools to a drinking contest. Much, much love.

They've got him in a solid dark red shirt in a later ep and I flailed, cuz it looks so good with his coloring. Why, oh why, won't they release BZ on DVD?!?
"The Rosebed Memoirs" always makes me want to cough up the story of Jools' assignment to Moscow (very early in his career), and how he and Sergei met. And, as usual, my reaction is, yeah, that and about fifteen other plot bunnies. Including SPN and BZ and a little HP on the side....
