June, Revisited

On a distant June day, a beautiful young woman in a white wedding dress walked down the aisle of the church, tears of joy on her face as she approached her husband-to-be. "Til Death do us part" is a meaningless vow, because he survived a terrible war in a far-away land. They're both young, and they will live forever.

On this June day, a war all too near has taken her husband. Flanked between his somber sons, she stands in the churchyard beside the mound of turned earth. Weeping, ravaged by grief, Gail Green wears a black dress.

Thank you! I know---I couldn't believe it. Of all the people to kill! And after that whole pneumonia storyline, just when things were getting back to "normal". Grrr! Wonder how they'll torture us next season...?

No idea who or what or why, but I'll read 100 words of just about anything. This has great detail and really conveys the feeling of sorrow.

Thanks. I'm in a very angsty mood, for some reason. I just spent most of the afternoon writing an atmospheric short fic for SPN and snuffling and being emo. (And featuring that CSN&Y song I asked you about some time back.)

Your icon makes me think of an ep of What Not to Wear that I saw last night---one of the garments they were disposing of was a shirt commemorating an ice skating team the fashion victim had been on, circa 1986, and all the faces had worn off of the team picture, and I thought, "OMG, it's Holly Hobbie On Ice!"

Speaking completely out of ass, everything I've heard of SPN kind of screams EMO, but writing is always better than not writing, so keep it up.

SPN *does* attract the young and angsty element, but there's plenty of legit fic out there. I don't usually get into all that, but every now and then, I can get emo with the best of them.

And yeah, it beats *not* writing.

*blushes* How kind of you to say so!

One of these days, though, I'm gonna write something juicy with Jonah. Cuz for me, James Remar is like the prize in the CrackerJack box where Jericho is concerned.
