Me, lowering my expectations? (Okay, maybe just a little.)

The nice thing about my long intermission from House---what everyone else is experiencing as reruns is fresh meat to me. Okay, maybe it's ground chuck instead of prime sirloin, but it's still okay for chili. Granted, I know who's going to make the eventual cut; I'm still enjoying the process. I know, it's not Grade A as in seasons past, but it has its moments. And Chase as bookie? Priceless.

Sadly, I gave up on House midway through the second crop of ducklings. Even the amazing Hugh wasn't enough to justify watching what was, to stretch a metaphor, the steak going a tad off.

Ya think they may pull a Dallas and have that all be a dream? Yeah... thought not. :-/

I'm trying to frame a metaphor about hacking away at it with a very dull steak knife, but it's not working for me....

I have an idea for a S4 opener along those lines....

The Chase bits along the way, are pretty much the high-lights of Season 4, and Jesse totally kicks but. I know there were some major H/W happy moments, but most of those felt like fanservice to me, rather than being organic to the characters. I could just the H/W contingent of the writing staff thinking of ways to titillate the fangirl tushes.

Another fic I never wrote, but desperately wanted to see would be the scene where House and Chase made that particular deal. Naturally (since it's me) I envisioned some smut, but it didn't necessarily have to be that way. I just love the way the House has to deal with 4th Season Chase. He's really only one of the original fellows to show actual character development.

So true! Chase just keeps getting better. I think the "let's make a deal" scene would be a hoot, and one of these days, I've GOT to write a sexual hypnosis fic....
