The long-awaited pix of the fabulous hair (I really need a new icon)

Many of y'all will remember my search for a new hair style earlier this summer. My hair was down almost to my waist, and it was hot and a nuisance to fuss with all the time. I got it shortened drastically, and have been much happier (and am still getting compliments from people who haven't seen me in a while). I finally got my film developed---yeah, I'm old-fashioned, I know---so at long last, I've got before and after pix of last month's haircut:

Thanks! It's great---it's getting washed more often, too, since it no longer takes two days to dry, and I don't have to worry about whether it's falling down/coming out of the braid/looking like the wild woman of Borneo, etc.

I like it too... it looks fuller and thicker. It may just be the difference in the lighting, but did you have it coloured too? It looks a lot 'warmer'.

Thanks! I *did* touch up my roots. "Brazen Gold" is the name of the color...it's close to my natural shade---without the grey---so it's fairly subtle.

Thanks! I was lucky to find a stylist (friend of a friend) who understood when I described what I wanted. No more bad hair days, yay!

Thanks, I feel pretty, too. I think part of the looking younger is the fact that I addressed my roots, after slacking for six months or more. It was just such a chore with all that hair!
