After a matinee of "The Losers", I detoured over to my stylist and got my hair whacked back to manageable. It's short, cute, manageable and fluffy. It is made of win. See?

It's so great to have a digital camera so I can post stuff like this! Although really, I need some foundation powder; I'm unbecomingly shiny.

"The Losers" also rocks very hard, but we'll discuss that later. Right now, I need to eat, shower, go to WalMart and be at the church by 6:30.

GK got back to me with the pix she took when she was here last month. God knows I love her dearly, but I sure hope she never has to earn a living at fashion photography or portraiture, cos it is NOT her forte. Out of a half-dozen pix of me, this is the only one that's decent. It was taken on the walkway outside her motel room overlooking the pool.

The top is poly---a bit warm, but cute. The black skirt is my favorite---there's a little ruffle at the hem. The icon is a close-up of the tatt, if you're interested. My shoes are off because we spent the morning haunting Goodwill and my feet were killing me.

There's something going around, where you offer up ten pics from your harddrive that communicate something about yourself. And Heaven knows, I've got a metric fuck-ton of pix. Although I really ought to be getting ready to leave for work---!

Speaking of work, some may be NSFW. Good reason to post it on Saturday, eh?

This thing:

1) Post ten twelve of any pictures currently on your hard drive that you think are self-expressive. (I say twelve. Like a calendar.)

2) NO CAPTIONS!!! It must be like we're speaking with images and we have to interpret your visual language just like we have to interpret your words.

3) They must ALREADY be on your hard drive - no googling or flickr! They have to have been saved to your folders sometime in the past. They must be something you've saved there because it resonated with you for some reason.

4) You do NOT have to answer any questions about any of your pictures if you don't want to. You can make them as mysterious as you like. Or you can explain them away as much as you like.

More on what I think it Means later....

Many of y'all will remember my search for a new hair style earlier this summer. My hair was down almost to my waist, and it was hot and a nuisance to fuss with all the time. I got it shortened drastically, and have been much happier (and am still getting compliments from people who haven't seen me in a while). I finally got my film developed---yeah, I'm old-fashioned, I know---so at long last, I've got before and after pix of last month's haircut:

The post-wasp itch has finally abated without any intervention on my part. I don't know if it was nature at work or all the mojo I got from y'all, but thanks for all the suggestions and concern.

We must've gotten some hail recently, because I found the ceramic dragon I had on the wall of my front porch broken into several pieces, and the pieces were on both sides of the wall, suggesting that whatever hit it came from above (otherwise, they'd be on one side or the other). I'll have to sit down with the remains and see if they're salvageable.

Btw, yesterday I dropped my latest camera off to be developed, so as soon as I get an infusion of cash I'll have New Fluffy Hair pix to post. (And the usual record of miscellaneous weirdness...cool cars, odd signs, wtf moments....)

Kat has invited me to join a family gathering to see Mamma Mia! this afternoon, which I accepted with alacrity. I don't usually enthuse about musicals, but I'm a child of the 70s, so I like ABBA, and the cast is freakin' amazing. Now I need to figure out what I'm going to wear....
