After a matinee of "The Losers", I detoured over to my stylist and got my hair whacked back to manageable. It's short, cute, manageable and fluffy. It is made of win. See?

It's so great to have a digital camera so I can post stuff like this! Although really, I need some foundation powder; I'm unbecomingly shiny.

"The Losers" also rocks very hard, but we'll discuss that later. Right now, I need to eat, shower, go to WalMart and be at the church by 6:30.

WOW! That's a GREAT cut on you. Young and flirty and flippy and fun. Don't ever grow your hair super-long again, if this is how you look with a chin-length bob. Do you feel as much younger as you look?

I feel MUCH better. I was ready to start hacking at it with the kitchen shears, it was that overgrown and shapeless. (It's been nine months since my last cut, and I've been ready to do it again for six.)

You look so cute! The shorter cut makes your face look both younger and thinner than when you wore it long.

I need to get my mop trimmed, especially in the back where it grows like mad.

Thanks! It's really helped perk up my mood, too. All that hair just hanging there was dragging me down in more ways than one.

Thanks! They're cute frames, but the 'scrip is about five years old. I hope I can find a job with benefits soon....

Have you got any good prospects for a job right now? I know I've sent you some leads- did any of them pan out?

I've got a lead on something that sounds interesting---soldering, which I've done before, although not lately. A new manufacturer---on the Island, I think---who's hiring and trains/certifies solderers. It's through job service; I'm going down there Monday to get more details, and while I'm there, I'm also gooing toask about the Rockledge call center jobs. (I know they primarily hiring people with children, but god knows, I have qualifications out the wwazoo.)

Thanks, although I admit it took about eight shots before I got one that didn't show a bra strap or cut off my head.

Love the shorter 'do - darling on ya! Is your hair strawberry blonde, or is that the lighting?

Actually, that's where my roots are growing out. I was oh-so-naturally-blonde until my mid-20s, when it went dishwater. So I've been known to help it along.

My daddy was a blonde and my mama was a redhead, so I can go either way, but blonde suits me better.

Although it might be the lighting.

It's good to be fluffy. I had a really shit-ful food week, but at least the goddess nails are done and my hair is RED with no nasty roots or icky gray hairs showing.

I'm growing out my roots, at least for the moment. Very ashy-bronze-looking---but it's been so long since I've seen my own hair, that I'm curious to see what it really looks like.

I'd be terrified to see what's under mine right now, especially the percentage of gray to brown. *shudder*

I'm lucky; I seem to take after my dad, who even in his seventies wasn't really grey (although his beard was pure white). From being white-blonde as a child to golden blonde as a teen, dishwater blonde in my 20---it's bronzey now and appears to be getting darker. I do see the occasional white thread, but it's not as glaring as it would be if my hair was dark to begin with. (My friend GK was brunette back in the day, but she's let hers grow out because she got tired of haviing to touch it up constantly, and now she's salt and pepper with emphasis on the salt. And she's a few years younger than me.)
