Storm update

The weather outside is still ick. Fay is hovering; we've been getting slammed all day---our county in particular, lucky us. There's flooding in some areas, a suspected tornado down at the south end of the county (where a bunch of dumbasses got arrested for trying to scavenge loose aluminum siding/roofs), concerns about beach erosion---without being cynical, it's the usual Florida nastiness. The nice thing, if I can have a moment of optimism, is that it's cooled things down nicely. The temp is in the lower 70s, and is expected to be in the low-to-mid 80s tomorrow. (Still icky, but you can't have everything!)

Man, that sounds very nasty and you were right to stay out of it, particularly with flooding going on.

I'm hoping it all blows a little moisture up our way. This is the driest time of the year here, and all the trees are starting to look tired.

If you want rain, you can have it! At the moment, it isn't raining, but the sky is pewter, and it's all just hanging up there. We've had about 9" of rain in the last 48 hours, so enough already!

I sure am glad my lawn was mowed last weekend.
