The high point of my day was shopping with [livejournal.com profile] missybrat. We checked out Aldi's (new grocery chain in town), although I only spent a few dollars---I got some water, a box of crackers, a can of beans, a couple burritos, limes and a bag of gummi colas for under $5. I'll probably go back for more extensive shopping when I have more cash, since they were offering some pretty choice deals on spiral-cut hams (although, come to think of it, maybe I should clean my kitchen enough that I could actually COOK in it first).

After checking out, we wandered across the street to the M.I. Goodwill, where I exercised won't-power and did not get any new clothes. Neither did Mb, who has lost about 25 pounds, go her! I'm really happy for her. She seems much healthier than she used to be; back in the day, when we worked in Medical Billing Hell together, she was sick constantly, but these days, she's downright perky.

Mb says my hair color looks natural and I'm being silly. (I'm just used to a more golden blonde, but---whatever.) She's growing hers out, which makes me happy, because she has the prettiest curls and for a while there, her har was so short, you couldn't tell. I need a trim---I swear, mine has grown two inches since The Cut in July---but that's not in the budget any time soon.

The early Christmas present was a success---I found her a Thomas Kinkade wall hanging with a picture of a lighthouse and a Bible verse---I got hugs for that, which made me happy.

And tomorrow, Kat and I are hitting the Chinese buffet for lunch, which I'm looking forward to. I haven't had Chinese in a while, and China Garden does a yummy chicken and onions, not to mention the pork and 'shrooms or sauteed green beans.

Note to self: Pick up bathroom tissue while you're out.

You should've picked up the toilet paper at Aldi's. ;-)

I'm glad they've finally arrived in your area - they've got some excellent deals!

Yeah, I want to go back for a ham. Or a turkey. Or both.

I have a full roll of film ready to go to Walgreens, but I won't be able to redeem it until next payday. On the other hand, if you bring your digital camera with you to our lunch, you can get pix, send them to me and I can post them a week sooner than I would otherwise.

Raining here too. Hope it won't effect voting, especially in your fine state. (Me, biting goddess nail in nervous dread.)

At this point I feel like we need a Lyndon Johnson style land-slide or we're screwed.

Is always the best! LOL! It's a great way to spend part of a Sunday!
The prices there are pretty good I have to admit. (The meat is a good price!) There are some things that you have to watch out for. (Just like anywhere.)
I love the haircolor! It's very natural looking to me. (Very pretty on you!)
The wall hanging will be hung this weekend! (Squeeeel!) It's going to look great in the dining room section of the house! (Big hug again!)
And eating chinese = remembering to pick up toilet paper?? Hmmm!???! LOL!

P.S. I figured it up and it's only 21 pounds so far.. sigh. I'll get to the 25 pound mark soon though! And vitamins and thyroid meds being taken on a regular basis, has definately helped with weight loss I think!
