Oodles and oodles of thanks to ruric and karaokegal for giving me virtual sugar cookies! What a lovely surprise for an icky Monday morning. We've had cold rain 3 days out of 4 and I am tired of it!
ETA: And one from strangevisitor7. I feel blessed y'all. (And baffled: I can't even *find* those cookies in the gift shop. ---?!)

missybrat has a horrible cold/brochial thing going on, and says she's crafting my Christmas gift while sitting on the sofa and hacking. That's okay, I'm sure it won't still be contagious in two weeks.

I'm still all warm-fuzzy-happy about my xover_exchange fic Trumpets Sound, Walls Fall Down: Part 1 Part 2. It flings a Heroes character into the Jericho post-nuke landscape, and has everything I love in a story: massive action-adventure, plenty of hurt-comfort and a generous ration of slashy subtext. What's not to love?!

You know, when you wrote about that crossover the other day, I misread it as House/Jericho and went racing over to see it. I don't watch house often, but I'd love to see him coping (or not) in Jericho.

My mind boggles. It's an interesting idea, since the one doctor they have is an alcoholic who wasn't necessarily that great a doctor even before the crisis. Then there's House, whose supply of Vicodin must have been sorely curtailed if not dried up completely, but he's enough of a perfectionist to hate Kenchi. I've got to check my Jericho trivia...did Omaha get nuked? I can see House attending some yawnsome medical conference for the great local steaks and evading J&R's round up of medical personnel because he was off somewhere with a hooker. Hmm...where did you come from, little bunny?

Don't worry, I just got your comment last night. I've been getting clusters of returns since yesterday afternoon, dating back to Sunday or so. (I thought it was awfully quiet!)

Well hell. I thought that I was going to escape the hospital. I was doing so well this morning/early afternoon. If I go in sounding like I do now, tommorrow to the doctor, he is going to put me in. I have no doubt about it. (Sigh) Can't this shit just go away and stay away. Does it not understand that I have bills to pay and can not afford to miss so much work!? (Especially since I don't really have alot of sick time.) UGGGGGH! And I won't be able to craft/work on your Christmas present in there. (I don't think that they would appreciate a 1/2 drugged patient working with a hot glue gun! LOL! (shit.. hack cough wheeze) That is one thing that has me very nervous. I know for a fact he has been calling around to my other doctors today. I think that 24 hour thing was just enough time to let him get his stuff together. But I KNOW that he will be ordering me sedation so that I sleep for the first 24 hours or so. (He said that it would give my body time to rest and heal.) More nervous about that!
