So long, and thanks for all the fish...?

Today is the last day of my payment extension from my net/cable/phone provider. When they don't get any money from me today, I may or may not get a few days grace*, but I'm not holding my breath. So, if I suddenly drop off the face of the world, don't answer emails, etc., that's why.

Let me just say, I'm freaking right on out. The idea of NO INTERNET ON DEMAND is terrifying. I ought to be worrying about what's going to happen the next time I get a bill for lights or water, or what I'm going to do next month when my insurance is due---but at the moment, the thought of no access to my cyberfriends and no cable TV...wretched banal existance!

Please don't forget me, I'll post for as long as I can, and I'll find wifi hot spots so I can check in, but summer is fixing to go from "hot as hell" to just plain Hell.

Generally, transfers go into my checking account in 2 business days. Unfortunately there's a holiday on Monday, so.... ?

Yeah, the timing is off, but hey, better late than never, eh? If worse comes to worse, I figure I can rustle up a new 'net provider for a lot less than what I owe the current one.

Or who knows, maybe I'll heard back on a resume or application and get a job. Then I'll know where the next payment is coming from and things can get back to NORMAL.

I hear ya on that one. I'd give ANYTHING to go back to my normal, quiet, boring life (*glares at Asshat*).
