I know that technically, there is a difference between need and want. And that while I may need a winter coat, I don't absolutely require a pair of boots to go with it. (That's assuming that my bid on a certain brown leather carcoat is accepted.) When I was just running back and forth across town to work, a winter coat wasn't a necessity. But driving 20+ miles each way? Um, yes, I think I *do* need a coat.
I might make a case for the boots as a mental health necessity, and cite in addition the fact that my black suede boots hurt my feet after a couple of hours because they're medium, not wide. I'm lusting after these (from The Avenue):
** to go with this carcoat I'm eyeing on eBay:
I've got a lot of autumnal and earthtones in my wardrobe; I'm getting away from black. I've been wearing black constantly for the last twenty years, and I've reached the point where *anything* can be the new black, as long as it's not black!
==========
** Have found a very similar pair on eBay for about a third the retail price of the ones pictured. And they're real leather instead of faux. *whimper!* Leather kink much? Me?!
