One WIP: Sylar/Danko slashtastic skullfuck pr0n.
One pr0n warming up in the on deck circle: Wild, Wild West meets Torchwood (Thank [livejournal.com profile] karaokegal for the working title: The Night of the Time Agent.)
One plot bunny I am trying to shoot dead, but it's dancing around laughing at me: What would happen if the Winchesters and the Dukes swapped cars...?*

I spent a chunk of the afternoon/evening clearing things off my TiVo---I am getting better at the video equivalent of "catch and release"---call it "watch and release". There's fresh SPN and a new Harper's Island tomorrow. Have I mentioned how much I'm loving Harper's so far? Brilliant thinky-thoughts by dodger_winslow under the cut....

I have this coming Saturday off, and I'm coordinating a canasta night at Schnauzerland, woohoo. How about it, [livejournal.com profile] sbjb?

And hey, let's hear it for the birthday boy!

"Yon Cassius has a lean and hungry look;
He thinks too much: such men are dangerous."
--Shakespeare, Julius Caesar

A bunny in a Burberry overcoat has been pestering me: it wants me to tell the whole story of Jools and Lermov and the body in the hotel. Lermov's bit of rough trade is only the tip of the proverbial iceberg. I'm going to have to watch that episode again (Poor me, right?), but it doesn't seem to me that they mentioned when that happened, only that it was quite a while ago, back when Lermov was KGB. Well over a decade, I'd say, considering how long it's been since the Soviet Union collapsed.

Not to mention, Jools is now in a position of power, and that doesn't happen overnight, especially since he seems to be fairly secure in it, or so one gathers. So the incident would have occured rather early on in Jools' career. I think it would be great fun to show the process of him becoming what he is now. Young Jools, with the lean and hungry look of raw ambition...a little less well-groomed and cultured, a little more ingenuous...it's an intriguing thought.

In the extras, they mention that Jools was recruited by MI6 right out of college. That would've been the early to mid-1980s---lots of Cold War left to fight---assume a couple years in training and working at entry-level stuff before being posted abroad. Between fifteen and twenty years ago is a reasonable time frame; Lermov is obviously quite a bit older than Jools. For Jools to have gained him as an asset would've been a nice feather in his cap.

I'm trying to decide: Is his given name Julius (which would be too, too appropriate), or Julian? I was thinking Julian at first, but I could go either way. Hmm, I must contemplate middle names. *Two* middle names; Julius (something-something) Siviter....
